2017… What a Year!

by | Jan 16, 2018

Welcome!

I’m Kirsty Head – Life Coach and Speaker.

I thought that being a new year and that this is my new online space, this would be the best place to start. I’m so glad you’re here with me and I can’t wait to share lots of goodness with you!

I love this time of year.

Reflecting on the things you have done, the places you have travelled, the things you have achieved, the new connections you have added to your circle.

It gives me butterflies and brings a smile to my dial just thinking about it – it’s magical really.

And while obviously not every single moment is sunshine and rainbows I prefer to see the positive side to life myself. Our mindset is super powerful in this respect.

2017 brought me

+ Graduating as a Life Coach

+ Getting engaged

+ Overseas adventures with my man

+ 2 new online businesses

+ Many new friendships

+ LOTS of growth and learnings

+ Planning for this very website to go live

Just to name a few

If the last few years have taught me anything it’s this – anything is possible, even if you haven’t thought of it yet or if you never dreamt it to be possible. Everything happens for a reason – this has always been my mantra. And you are exactly where you are meant to be right now.

Here are a few of the activities I love to do during the year and at the end of the year before I dive into the new year.

Throughout the year

+ Place notes of exciting and note-worthy moments (good + bad) in a jar

+ Put events in my phone calendar

+ Share posts on Facebook and Instagram

At the end of the year

+ A yearly scrapbook overview – I write down all the months of the year in a scrapbook and add the notes in the jar, the events in my phone calendar, my posts on Facebook and Instagram from the year that was

+ I use some end of year journal prompts that I set aside some time to tune in and journal about – this year I used prompts by Connie Chapman

These are simple but powerful tools. They bring to life those moments that you wanted to remember, that made you who you are today, that touched your heart and made you smile (+ cry).

The reason I love to reflect and do these activities before I move on and set new goals and intentions for the new year is because I believe reflection and celebration are really important steps in growth. They really bring out and show us how courageous we’ve been. That we can do anything we set our minds to. They point out how far we’ve come and just how much we’ve achieved and done in 1 year! Imagine what 2018 will bring – I can’t wait to see!

What milestones are you celebrating from 2017?

I’d love you to share below!

First of all can i just say a massive congratulations on launching your beautiful website and first blog post *insert excited dance yew!*.
2017 what a year of growing, evolving, change, and letting go. My 2 biggest milestones would have to be having the courage to leave my toxic full time job and also getting married.
I learnt to not stress the little finer things that your mind makes up and to trust that everything does go exactly as it should be even though it may not be the exact picture you envisage in your mind it all unfolds exactly how it’s meant to.

Can’t wait to see more blog posts beautiful!

    Lots of love
    Tegan x
